Thank you for using Whisk.

This privacy policy explains how Whisk handles your files and any associated data when you use the platform.

1. File Storage & Automatic Deletion

All files uploaded to Whisk are stored temporarily on Cloudflare R2 object storage. Every uploaded file is automatically and permanently deleted after 1 hour. No manual deletion is required — this happens automatically regardless of whether the code or file has been accessed.

We do not retain copies of your files, create backups, or archive uploads in any form after the 1-hour window expires.

2. Data We Collect

Whisk does not require an account or any personal information to use. We do not collect:

File metadata (such as filename and file size) is stored in Cloudflare D1 solely for the purpose of serving the download link. This metadata is also deleted when the file expires.

3. How Files Are Stored

Uploaded files are stored on Cloudflare R2, a globally distributed object storage service. File session state is managed via Cloudflare Durable Objects for real-time coordination. File metadata is persisted in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite at the edge).

All infrastructure operates within Cloudflare's network. Whisk does not use any third-party storage providers.

4. Sharing & Third Parties

Files are only accessible via the unique shareable code generated at upload time. We do not share, sell, or distribute your uploaded files or any associated metadata to third parties.

Cloudflare processes data as part of operating the underlying infrastructure. Their privacy practices are governed by the [Cloudflare Privacy Policy](https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/).

5. Your Responsibility

Because Whisk requires no account and generates anonymous share codes, you are responsible for sharing your upload code only with intended recipients. Anyone with the code can download the file within the 1-hour window.

Do not upload files containing sensitive personal data, confidential information, or anything you would not want accessible via a public code.

6. Children's Privacy

Whisk is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from minors.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of Whisk after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
