2. Local Data Stored on Your Device

Dimmer stores only your last brightness and filter preferences locally on your device. They are not uploaded, linked to your identity, or shared with any third party.

3. Advertising

Dimmer is supported by advertisements provided by Google AdMob.

These ad networks may collect certain technical information to serve relevant ads, including:

4. Accessibility Service and Permissions

Dimmer uses the Android Accessibility Service solely to add and maintain its dimming overlay across the entire screen, including the status bar and navigation bar. Dimmer does not read, inspect, capture, record, or transmit screen content, and does not use the service to interact with other apps.

Accessibility Service: Required to display and maintain the full-screen dimming overlay.

INTERNET: Required to load and display advertisements that support the free app.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS (optional): Used to show status bar controls such as start/stop and mode selections when you enable notifications.

5. No Data Sharing or Selling

Dimmer does not:

Share user information with any third parties (except ad networks as described above)

Sell personal data

Use your data for purposes unrelated to app functionality

Track your screen content or activities

Access your files, photos, or personal content

6. Children's Privacy

Dimmer does not target children and does not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 13.

If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information immediately.

7. Security

All brightness and filter preferences stored by Dimmer remain on your device.

The app does not transmit screen content or stored preferences to external servers.

Ad networks use industry-standard security measures to protect data transmission.
